Thanks for visiting but first let’s travel

We’re two Kiwis who love to travel. We both headed to the UK for our OE’s way back in 2003, and met while on holiday in Germany (ok at Octoberfest!)  After 2 fun filled years in the UK, the visas ran out and it was time to head home.   Of course our first thought was ‘But first let’s travel’ a bit on the way. So we took the long way home with an incredible 8 weeks overlanding trip from Kenya to Cape Town.

After living in Auckland for seven year’s we got itchy feet again and moved to Sydney which we’ve been happily using as a base to explore Australia for the last three years.  Now it’s time to move back a bit closer to the family, so we’ll be crossing the Tasman again to settle back home… But, of course, first we’ll travel.

To document the trip, and to reassure our parents we haven’t fallen off the edge of the world, we’ll be writing about our trip as well as observations on the joys (and probably a few frustrations) that come with long term travel on this blog.
